When I was just moving through life and getting my To Do list done, I didn’t notice the change
I was not in the best head space before kids, but it got worse with the lack of sleep and constant touching
The changes in my thoughts were so slow that I didn’t notice until it was bad
Since I was not thoughtfully improving myself, I was slowly getting a more negative state of mind
That is why I made these affirmations for busy moms
I did not have a lot of time, but I needed to make my mindset something positive in my life
Even if you only have 5 minutes, these can help you become the mother you want to be
What Are Affirmations?
Affirmations are positive statements that you want to be true, but don’t think they are yet.
Affirmations are the process of creating a new mental habit by repeating something that you want to be true about yourself until your subconscious believes it to be true
Which isn’t hard but it takes time!
It is thought that it takes 21 days to create a new habit, so you’ll see to use affirmations for 21 days to see a difference
That is not really true
21 days is on the short side when it comes to building a new habit
It can take 100 days, or longer!
It all depends on what you are trying to change and how much mental resistance you have
So when you start affirmations, don’t start with the idea that they will magically work on day 21
They are powerful, but so are you current programs
Good news for the busy mom, they don’t take a lot of time and can be done anywhere!
So what about your life do you want to change?
Do you want it enough to put a little time everyday to change your mental programming?
Even if it takes months?
If you answered yes to those questions, then affirmations may be a solution!
How Do Affirmations Work?
Affirmations is a tool that we can use to create new mental habits
Our identity and reacts are created by our mental habits
Habits are created and used by the subconscious mind, which we do not control
But is was more powerful than the conscious mind, which we do control
So if you are trying to turn into the version that you want to be, you have to go straight to the subconscious mind
Want to be more patient?
Subconscious mind
Want to be able to say ‘no’ easier to people
Subconscious mind!
The subconscious mind is powerful, but it doesn’t know the difference between the truth and a lie
Affirmations are statements that you repeat until the subconscious mind believes them and creates new thought habits using them
This process can be quick or really slow
It depends on how much resistance you have to the statement
You will see that it takes 21 days to see the results of affirmations, but I can say from experience…
Usually it takes longer!
Don’t go into your affirmations with a time limit
Just pay attention to how you react when you say or write them
If you feel uncomfortable in any way, keep going!
You conscious mind won’t like it, but it doesn’t have the power the subconscious mind does
So just keep going
I like to follow a process every day
- Take a few deep breaths
- Name 3 things that you are grateful for
- Repeat each affirmation you chose at least 3 times
- Take a few more deep breaths
This process can take as little as 5 minutes!!
That is why affirmations for busy moms are so great
You don’t need a lot of time!

I think everyone has a goal or dream that they want
Problem is that we aren’t ready mentally if we do get it.
If we step into the habits and beliefs of someone who lives our dream…
Then our lives will start going that direction

I spent my entire life believing that I had to look a certain way to be beautiful
I nitpicked at myself and only saw the things that didn’t align with that belief
I’m still working on that but affirmations have been powerful in my journey
Affirmations also help with people pleasing
I had a HUGE issue with that!
I couldn’t say ‘no’ because I didn’t want people to dislike me
Affirmations have helped me lessen my load and become less busy because I am able to say ‘no’ now
